IFOCA 2019 Program overview:
To effectively cope with climate change, policies and actions must have a deep understanding of the real problems affecting countries, and this requires consensus on the need for close cooperation and continuous dialogue between developing and developed countries. The 2019 IFOCA forum will take a step further than previous IFOCA forum (2016 IFOCA ‘Achieving Sustainable Development Goals for the Environment’ held in Cambodia, 2017 IFOCA ‘Bridging Carbon Action with Southeast Asia’ hosted in Thailand, and 2018 IFOCA ‘Induction and New Industries for Climate Adaptation in Southeast Asia’ held in South Korea) which focused on climate adaptation, to provide a practical forum for the local issues in Southeast Asia and finding solutions through innovative technology and funding. Therefore, it is necessary to deepen the understanding of the donor countries with regards to the real issues of the beneficiary countries.
